Summer Slimdown Week 8

Week 8
Face your fitness fear!

No change on the scale, I'm sad to say. But not really surprised.

I'm at 254.8 again and still.
I don't even know what my fitness fear is. Maybe it's success! Why else would I be avoiding it?
What threw me off this week was that my kids had their winter break extended. I can't even go to the bathroom anymore without someone pounding on the door or even just walking right in. I'm going to have to start setting some bounderies.
Have you ever felt that anything you do, or atempt to do is destined to fail? That's how I'm feeling right now.
I did succeed in my 5k this week. Julie was hosting a virtual one and I actually thought I had failed that too when I couldn't get my walk in on Wednesday, but then she extended her entries til Sunday and so this morning at 6:30 I got up and walked and walked.
There's proof!! Funny looking cell phone pic!

I walked my 5k in 59 minutes. Very slow, yes, but I did it!
And I did go to exercise class on Monday night and played some volleyball yesterday. Fun!

Other than that... too many cupcakes around this week.
I will be happy to start the next challenge tomorrow, since I actually forgot about it this morning:(

Week 9 - (begin July 29) - NO SUGAR (unless it's all natural) AND NO SNACKING AFTER DINNER

Have a great week!

  1. I think more of us probably fear success than we care to admit. It means giving up old bad habits for good and adopting a whole new lifestyle. It's scary and daunting...
Hopefully the no sugar week will be the boost you need. It'll be a tough one, but I know we can all do it!!!
Have a great week and stay strong! You are worth it!

  2. Awe, I remember those days so well. When you can't even go to the bathroom to get peace. Don't give up, it will get better!
You did a good walk. That's great time!
Hope you succeed at the challenge this week. I'm kind of scared....haha

  3. I am proud of you Casey. VERY, VERY!!!!
I know about not having any privacy, with 6 kids in daycare even if you shut the door doesn't mean anything.
You did awesome Casey on your walk. Remember it didn't matter how long it took, it was that you did it and you DID IT!!!
You will do okay this week, I know you will. With kids it's amazeling hard, I know but I know that you will give your best and let the Lord handle the rest.
Take care Casey, we'll connect again when your kids are in school and "mine" too. Blessings!!

  4. It really is amazing how easy it is to have kids throw you off your destination. They only know that they need you right there and at that very moment regardless of what you are doing. Keep up your great work you are going to see that loss next week!!

  5. You did the 5k and that was the important part. I don't think your time was bad at all.
Good luck on this week's challenge.
