Midweek Update, from Asunción

Well, we're here in our country's capital city, Asunción.
We did some shopping, some eating, some bowling and lots of driving in traffic jams! There always seem to be more cars on the road than last time we were here.
I've probably gone over my calories on both days. It is really hard to track when I'm not home! But I think the only time I overate was tonight, when we had Pizza Hut deliver. I had 2 and a half pieces! Yumm!
I haven't read my book for the last few days, so I have nothing to update on that.
I did want to share a small success while shopping though!
I found a stability ball for about $7 less than I would have paid for it back home. I also found a resistance band. I could never find one back home, and I like using one. (I used a rubber band that they use to make sling shots!). I saw some more inexpensive exercise tools (weights, etc) so I know where to look next time I'm in the big city.
Since we live so far away from the city, the prices are alot higher in town than here, in Asunción.
Our three youngest made this trip really hard this time. They were just not listening to us and at times being plain ole' disobedient. We have never had them behave this badly on a trip before. I just can't wait to get home. It's been a lot more stressful than a mini-vacation should be.

Ok another reminder about my tea give away!
Check it out here.

Leaving you with my verse (quote) of the week:

Teach me your way, LORD,
   that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
   that I may fear your name.
I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
   I will glorify your name forever.
For great is your love toward me;
   you have delivered me from the depths,
   from the realm of the dead.

Psalm 86:11-13

Make good choices, people!

  3. Sorry you had so much stress with the kiddos.

    But those sound like great deals on the work out equipment! Hurrah! I paid something like $15.00 + shipping for my stability ball. Super points for deal finding.

  4. Kids will be kids. Quirky, unpredictable, and yes, at times even bratty. We love them anyway beyond any and all measure.

    Enjoy the last bit of your vacation!

  5. Sounds like you made some great finds!

    I was finally able to get to the store that sells the Duchess Grey tea, and they no longer sell it!! I picked up a couple boxes or another tea I'm going to try and got a box for you if it tastes good. I wanted to let you know I hadn't forgotten about you-- I just live a long way from the store and now they don't even sell it anymore! lol
